Welcome from Our Chief Residents
As the chief residents for the 2021-2022 academic year, it is our pleasure to welcome you to our program! As you explore our website, you will find information detailing our training, education, and general experience.
The foundation of our program is our dedication to excellent patient care involving a diverse population of high acuity patients and a strong weekly didactics program. From rotating through the inpatient psychiatric unit, handling the psychiatric emergency service, and working in outpatient clinics, our residents complete their training with a great level of confidence in dealing with any clinical challenge they might face in their future careers. We take great pride in developing autonomy and mastering clinical decision-making skills. Our residents spend their time caring for patients, teaching medical students, and being exposed to the latest in psychiatric research.
We would like to highlight the remarkable culture that permeates throughout our program. We are a friendly, fun-loving group that gets along well with each other. As chief residents, it is especially exciting to be able to work closely with our wonderful co-residents and we cannot wait for you to meet them!
The very reasonable cost of living in Cleveland allows our residents to experience all that the city has to offer. Cleveland is characterized by a beautiful lakeside, a vibrant restaurant and bar scene, multiple professional sports teams, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and a thriving arts community. Cleveland also has various beautiful national and state parks and hiking trails. These were particularly useful during the COVID-19 pandemic when there were limited options available for recreation.
We hope to meet you (virtually!) and share more about our program with all of you! We wish you the best of luck with your residency application process!
Hope to see you soon in Cleveland!
