Welcome from Our Chief Residents

We are excited and honored to have you consider our program for your Psychiatry training!

Due to the increased demand for mental health treatment in the Cleveland area, and across the nation, we are a growing program and department. With 28 residents and counting, we cover many different services including inpatient Psychiatry, outpatient clinics, and consults from the Emergency Department and the medical floors. We also offer unique experiences at the County jail, a local state hospital and more.

As you may or may not know, MetroHealth has recently undergone a remarkable transformation! Inpatient Psychiatry services moved from our Main campus on W. 25th street to our new Behavioral Health hospital in Cleveland Heights. The new hospital includes mood and thought disorder units, a psych-medical unit, dual-diagnosis unit, and a Psych ICU. We are looking forward to the opening of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Geriatrics units as well as the Psychiatry ED.

As you can see, we are a hard-working program committed to our patient population, many of whom are underserved. When we are not working, we have fun exploring Cleveland and all that it has to offer. We are a friendly, fun-loving group who gets along well with each other. The reasonable cost of living in Cleveland allows our residents to experience all that our great city has to offer!
