Welcome to Psychiatry
Dear Future Resident,
Welcome to the next step of your medical career! Our Psychiatry Residency Program provides an excellent clinical and academic training in a warm and collegial environment.
We have a fully accredited General Psychiatry Residency Training program in Cleveland’s county hospital system and we have a strong affiliation with Case Western Reserve University. We emphasize both biological and psychotherapeutic approaches to patient care and residents get a balanced training.
We have a diverse group of faculty who are engaging mentors and emphasize individual educational opportunities to trainees in a supportive learning environment.
Our biggest strength is our diverse and excellent residents who not only are trained to become master psychiatrists but also wonderful academicians, superb administrators and exceptional clinicians.
Our residents participate in numerous presentations at national and local conferences, write book chapters and publish scholarly activities.
Our mission is to improve health in the communities and region we serve. We do this by educating excellent clinicians, by providing patient centered and high-quality care. This is an exciting time in medicine and our vision is to integrate telepsychiatry, integrated care and quality improvement in our curriculum.
I invite you to visit the Psychiatry Residency Program webpage to learn more about our excellent training program. We look forward to hearing from you and meeting you.
