My Name is Neelab Abdullah, I was born in Afghanistan and raised in Lakewood, OH. I plan to work in the outpatient setting full time after residency. I love FM because you can see all ages and all acute complaints, which gives you lots of variety in the clinic. I am an NHSC scholar, so working with underserved populations has been a long-term passion of mine. I chose MetroHealth for this reason. Additionally, my long-term goal is to practice medicine abroad through humanitarian organizations. I chose Cleveland for residency because I wanted to be near my family for help with my son (now 1.5 years old). I am very family oriented so for fun, I like to go see my mom, meet up with my sisters/brother, or take my son out for walks/play dates. I also love cooking, sewing, and if I find any free time, reading.
My name is Julia and I'm currently a second year family medicine resident at MetroHealth. I was born and raised in the Cleveland area and love getting to work with patients from the community I was raised in. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Dayton and attending medical school at the Cleveland campus of Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. My favorite part of working in primary care is the long-lasting relationships I am privileged to form with patients.
My father is also a family medicine physician, and growing up I always admired the way he truly got to know his patients as not only patients, but as human beings. I really enjoy preventative care, women's health, and mental health care. I also really like working with Spanish-speaking patients at the Ohio City clinic and improving my medical Spanish. Outside of medicine, I like reading, traveling, and staying physically active.
Hi, my name is Daniella. I’m originally from Arizona, went to undergrad & grad school at ASU getting my B.S. in Health Sciences & my M.S. in healthcare innovation. I moved to Ohio for medical school at Wright State. I have loved family medicine since a young age & have felt called to be a physician focusing on preventative medicine & caring for the whole individual. Some things I enjoy on my free time is spending time with friends, going to metro parks, taking photographs, and working on puzzles.
I'm Bailee! I am a current PGY2 here at Metro! I am from a tiny one square mile village near Youngstown, OH called McDonald. I am the youngest of four children who all still live there. I have been living in the Cleveland area for about 10 years as I went to college (Baldwin Wallace University) and medical school (OUHCOM-Cleveland) up here! I love Family Medicine and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I am interested in community health, office procedures, pediatrics and geriatrics.
MetroHealth has given me so much opportunity to explore and do what I love. Outside of medicine, my hobbies include planning my wedding for this summer, trying to stay as active as possible and spending time with my fiancé, my family, and my mini labradoodle (Bodo!)
I am a graduate of Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine. Born and raised in Cleveland, it’s no secret that this city holds a special place in my heart! I chose MetroHealth because I knew the mission and the people aligned with my own goals of providing care to the underserved and working with a large LatinX population. I knew I wanted to do Family Medicine since year one of medical school because I wanted to be exposed to a wide range of individuals from pediatrics to adults while maintaining continuity of care. In the future, I hope to focus on outpatient care (in Cleveland of course!) though I am open to exploring other areas of medicine too!
Outside of medicine I love to spend time with all 3 of my fur babies – 2 cats and 1 dog! I love running/working out, seeking out the best iced coffee, shopping (call me a shopaholic) and especially enjoy making time for my family.
Hi! I grew up in the beautiful island state of Hawai’i and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa! Medical school took me from one island to another, as I am a graduate of the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. In medical school, I enjoyed every single rotation and, me being the indecisive Gemini that I am, knew that Family Medicine would be my perfect match.
In addition to being indecisive, I am also very talkative and love forming lasting relations with people. Being able to provide care for an entire family, across multiple generations, is something no other specialty has the honor of doing. Within Family Medicine, I have particular interest in LGBTQ+ Medicine and Addiction Medicine and am considering a hybrid of outpatient/inpatient as an Attending after I graduate. When I’m out of the hospital, I enjoy the outdoors, trying new cuisines, and binge-watching true crime documentaries. I love my co-residents so there is a very high possibility I might be with them, too!
