Orthopaedic Traumatology Fellowship

Fellows gain exposure to multiply injured patients, pelvis and acetabular injuries, complex articular fractures, and post-traumatic reconstruction.

We offer a 12-month fellowship in orthopaedic traumatology. MetroHealth is a 750-bed, Level I trauma center with a very active helicopter transport service and 65,000 emergency department visits per year. The majority of the trauma admissions (85%) are high-velocity blunt traumas.

Extensive experience with five fellowship-trained orthopaedic traumatologists affords exposure to multiply injured patients, pelvis and acetabular injuries, complex articular fractures, and post-traumatic reconstruction.

The fellow will have increasing levels of clinical responsibilities for the care of these patients. Fellows are expected to complete a clinical and/or basic science research project.
