Application Process - Orthopaedics

Applications to the residency program at CWRU are submitted via the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). The ERAS system is administered by the Association of American Medical Colleges. Each year the Department of Orthopaedics receives and reviews hundreds of applications.

Approximately 30 candidates are interviewed during each session. Candidates are interviewed by attending physicians and at least one chief resident from CWRU. In addition, members of each class are available for campus tours and informal question and answer sessions. Interviews are granted by invitation and candidates will be notified by mail if they are invited to interview.

CWRU Department of Orthopaedics participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) and matches six qualified residents each year.
