Aims

Our Fellowship Program strives to produce leaders in rheumatology, both in academic and community settings. We strive to:

  • Provide educational opportunities and clinical experiences that foster trainees to be lifelong adult learners.  The experience instills that importance and of lifelong self-learning allowing trainees to achieve and maintain board certification in the subspecialty of rheumatology.
  • The trainees will succeed in a rheumatology career leading to a strong presence in academic practice and clinical care to meet the growing work force demands for academic and practicing rheumatologists.
  • To engage fellows in clinical or translational science research activities while training under the expertise of internationally recognized faculty.  This will help drive their scholarly projects leading to scientific presentations, publications, and to apply for peer-reviewed grants.
