David Mansour, MD is the assistant med-peds program director for quality improvement and an associate director for medical informatics. He is a graduate of the MetroHealth med-peds residency program. He is passionate about population health and training the next generation of residents in high-quality primary care. He has achieved certification in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and leads resident and department quality improvement initiatives. He challenges his learners through his broad usage of an interactive teaching style. His current scholarly interests involve primary care process improvement and patient-centered care via motivational interviewing. Dr. Mansour is actively studying the breadth of ambulatory med-peds physicians over the past 20 years and analyzing how practice habits have evolved through initiatives such as pay-for-performance, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s Triple Aim, and the rise of the electronic medical record. Outside of medicine, he loves spending time with his wife and teenage children and playing hockey.
