Brief Description - Dr. Alghanem’s path to clinical informatics started with his interest and passion in technology, which shaped how he approached and understood medicine and healthcare. Through his training and years of clinical practice in family medicine and geriatrics in a variety of settings, he realized the need and potential for technology to improve medicine, research, quality and efficiency. He was a superuser supporting staff and physician peers during an Epic implementation/Go-Live. With his clinical informatics training, he hopes to provide solutions to smooth the workflows of practice, reduce administrative burden and burnout, optimize patient care and improve healthcare delivery for patients and providers supporting holistic care in the practice of the science and art of medicine. His interests include electronic health records, clinical decision support, applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning, consumer applications, virtual/remote care, automation, ethics, policy, quality, safety, efficiency, workflow engineering, and patient and medical/practitioner education.
