Aims and Mission

Mission Statement

To provide a unique learning environment to our fellows that combines true hands-on teaching in state-of-the-art invasive clinical electrophysiology, a wide range of mentored research opportunities and an intense clinical training with abundantly diverse pathology, to produce regional and national leaders in electrophysiology able to deliver high quality care within the evolving constraints of the healthcare system.

Aims

  • To produce capable and knowledgeable Cardiac Electrophysiologists who deliver state of the art care to their patients in all aspects of cardiac electrophysiology and who are able to quickly adopt new techniques and technology into their practice.
  • To launch productive Electrophysiologists who will be local and national leaders in the field of EP and contribute to furthering research and teaching in clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
  • To provide quality and safety focused clinical cardiac electrophysiology training to produce future electrophysiologists with the ability to run high quality patient practices or electrophysiology labs able to adapt to changing healthcare delivery, with emphasis on patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
  • To train fellows to deliver compassionate care to disenfranchised populations with complex co-morbidities, multiple financial and social barriers and a racially and ethnically diverse population.
