Neurology and Neuro Critical Care APP Fellowship

About the Program

Neurology is often considered to be one of the most difficult specialties; it is also one of the fastest growing subspecialties in critical care. Taking care of patients with critical neurologic illnesses requires nuance and specialized knowledge not available in many training centers.

To meet the ongoing demand for advanced practice providers (APPs) in the field of neuroscience critical care, MetroHealth designed and implemented in 2018 the first in the country APP Neurocritical Care Fellowship.

This program is a 12-month post-graduate APP fellowship at MetroHealth’s main campus in Cleveland, OH, which is both a comprehensive stroke center and the region’s largest and most experienced Level 1 trauma center.

The program’s goal is to provide specialty training to a motivated NP or PA interested in pursuing a career in the fast growing specialty of neurocritical care and becoming a clinician-leader in the field.
