Research Interests: Physiology of fetal membrane weakening specifically correlation of the mechanical properties of the fetal membranes with biochemical characteristics. Ultimate objective is to identify targets in mechanisms of fetal membrane weakening for therapeutic intervention to prevent preterm PROM related spontaneous preterm birth.  My additional interests include care of drug dependent mothers and their newborn infants, and Neonatal Nephrology with specific reference to Acute Kidney Injury.
