Application Process

All applications must be submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). Residency candidates must be graduates of approved medical schools in the U.S. or Canada.

Candidates of foreign medical schools must have an ECFMG certificate, and have passed USMLE Parts I and II. 

All trainees must successfully complete USMLE Step III prior to completion of the PGY-2 training year. 

Satisfactory references are required. 

Applications must be received by November 1st for appointments beginning July 1st of the following year.

Visa Information

MetroHealth sponsors J-1 visas. At the discretion of the program, H-1B visas may be issued on a case-by-case basis, but cannot be guaranteed to any applicant.
