David Kaelber, MD, PhD, MPH is the vice-president of health informatics and chief medical informatics officer at MetroHealth. He is a graduate of the MetroHealth med-peds residency program and remains a core faculty member for the med-peds residency program. He is the founding director of the Case Western Reserve University Health Informatics Fellowship Program and a founding editor of the Medicine-Pediatrics Academic Channel, the online med-peds journal. He is a peer reviewer for over 30 medical journals and sits on the Aggregate Data Program Governing Body of Epic Corporation. Despite his involvement in these posts and many others, Dr. Kaelber is highly visable and extremely approachable. He frequently precepts residents in both the pediatric and internal medicine urgent care clinics. He is often found training residents to efficiently and meaningfully interact with the electronic medical record system. In his freetime, Dr. Kaelber is involved in his church community and in raising his two girls with his wife, a lifestyle medicine physician who also practices in Cleveland.
