Our Faculty

The Endocrinology Division in the Department of Medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center is heavily involved in teaching endocrinology to fellows, residents, and interns at MetroHealth Medical Center.

In addition, fellows rotate through the Diabetes Self-Management Education Program, the Diabetic Foot Wound Clinic, the Pediatric Endocrinology Clinic, the Weight Management Clinic, the Diabetic OB Clinic, and the Insulin Pump and Continuous Glucose Monitor Clinic (which is run by the division director, Dr. Calles). They are mentored in these clinics by:  

Patricia Antonelli, RD, CDE is in charge of teaching medical nutrition therapy for diabetes at MetroHealth Medical Center.

Jennifer Bier, MS, RD, LD is in charge of the Diabetes Self-Management Education Program at MetroHealth Medical Center.  

Ajuah Davis, MD runs the pediatric endocrinology clinic at MetroHealth Medical Center.  She earned her MD degree at Northwestern University, did her pediatric internship at the Medical Center of Delaware, her pediatric residency at the University of Chicago, and her fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital.

Denise Forster-Paulsen, APRN, CNP is in charge of the Diabetic Foot Wound Clinic at MetroHealth Medical Center. She earned her BSN at Saint Louis University and her MSN at Case Western Reserve University. 

Kelly Gibson, MD, FACOG is the Director of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Division in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at MetroHealth Medical Center.  She is also the Director of Obstetric Simulation and Associate Director of Informatics for Obstetrics.  She earned her MD degree at the University of Pennsylvania.  She did her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Case Western Reserve University, The MetroHealth System/Cleveland Clinic Foundation program, and her maternal-fetal medicine fellowship in the Case Western Reserve University The MetroHealth System program.  The second-year fellow rotates through her Diabetic OB Clinic.

Martha Marshall-Stoyanoff, RN, CDE is the key facilitator in the Insulin Pump and Continuous Glucose Monitor Clinic.  She helps train the fellows about insulin pumps, uploads the continuous glucose monitors of the patients in the pump clinic, teaches patients about pu

Eileen Seeholzer, MD runs the Weight Management Clinic at MetroHealth Medical Center. Dr. Seeholzer earned her MD degree at Case Western Reserve University and did her internship and residency in internal medicine at MetroHealth Medical Center. Dr. Seeholzer and her team work in close coordination with the Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery team, in the selection, preparation, and follow up of patients treated with surgical procedures.
