Aims

  • Provide residents with hands-on experiences to treat surgical, medical, and trauma related patient emergencies.
  • Give residents autonomy to make medical decisions related to the whole patient, especially those disposed to other health care settings.
  • Enrich training experiences with available teaching resources using simulation, ultrasound technology, bedside teaching, and training in emergency medical services.
  • Develop fulfilling career interests in research, in academics, or in fellowship training after residency, such as critical care, EMS, Addiction Medicine, or Ultrasound.
