Emergency Medicine Residency

The Emergency Medicine Residency Program at Case Western Reserve University, MetroHealth Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic is designed to serve the needs of a diverse group of highly qualified and motivated residents. The breadth and depth of our clinical training, coupled with exceptional opportunities in academic emergency medicine driven by a diverse faculty and excellent support staff, make this a remarkably strong training program.

Our Residency Program is fully accredited by the ACGME and allows students to gain clinical expertise at three institutions. This collaborative approach ensures our residents are provided with an outstanding environment to prepare them for a career in Emergency Medicine.

Residents train with more than 65 faculty members and distinguished department leaders who are trained and board-certified in emergency medicine, representing programs from all over the United States. We provide a broad range of opportunities in every facet of our specialty (clinical practice, research, education, organized emergency medicine, pre-hospital care), and our residents become extraordinarily well-prepared to succeed in any career path they choose upon graduation.
