Brief Description – Dr. Allison Weathers is an associate chief health information officer, neurohospitalist, and serves as physician advisor to HIM at the Cleveland Clinic. In her role as ACHIO, she is one of the physician leaders responsible for helping meet the health system’s goals and fulfill its strategy from an information technology perspective. She is in her last year as an elected member of the Cleveland Clinic Board of Governors PAC. In her administrative roles, Dr. Weathers has led a number of safety, quality and physician wellness initiatives. She is board certified in both neurology and clinical informatics.
Dr. Weathers is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, through serving on a number of AAN committees, work groups and taskforces. She sits on the AAN’s Quality Informatics Subcommittee and is a former chair of the Practice Management and Technology Subcommittee. Dr. Weathers is a CME writer for Continuum: Lifelong Learning in Neurology and sits on the Neurology Clinical Practice editorial board.
She chairs the Epic Adult Neurology Specialty Steering Board and is a member of their Problem Oriented View Steering Board. Dr. Weathers has also presented extensively and published on topics related to clinical informatics especially as pertains to providing equitable care, AI, and neurology.
