Surgical Critical Care Training at one of the Busiest Trauma Centers in Ohio
If you’re looking at this surgical critical care fellowship program, then you have already committed to taking care of some of the sickest and most injured patients. These patients count on us to be exceptional leaders and to make the right decisions for their care – in split seconds.
Here at MetroHealth, our general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship programs have a long history of training excellent trauma surgeons, many of whom have taken faculty positions and remain leaders in the field.
Few programs offer the opportunity to maintain your operative skills, while growing trauma and intensive care skills at one of the busiest urban level 1 trauma centers with 3,000 admissions per year.
Our ACGME-accredited SCC fellowship program continues to develop exponentially whether it’s curriculum, rotations, or opportunities for scholarship (avg. 20-25 publications/year) and leadership in trauma and surgical intensivist arenas.
All faculty hold full-time academic positions in the Department of Surgery at Case Western Reserve University.
Look at the boxes to see highlights of the program including the opportunity for a 2nd year fellowship with specialization tracks in trauma program leadership, burns, or clinical outcomes research.
