Application Process

To apply to the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program, use the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).  Applications are accepted through the ERAS system from July – October. Typically, interviews are held in late September and/or throughout October.

All applications must include:

  • Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) application form, including CV
  • Personal statement

  • Three letters of recommendation (including a letter from the Program Director of the applicant's residency program)
  • Complete USMLE transcripts

The MetroHealth Medical Center – Case Western Reserve University Gastroenterology Fellowship Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). We will offer three (3) positions in the upcoming academic year; no offers will be extended outside of the match.

International Medical Graduates (IMG) should note that completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency Training Program and board eligibility as determined by the American Board of Internal Medicine is required for Gastroenterology. MetroHealth Medical Center DOES consider J1 and H1-B applicants for our fellowship training program.

All applicants interested in training at MetroHealth Medical Center will be considered without regard to race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

We appreciate your interest and look forward to receiving your completed application. Inquiries about the Gastroenterology Fellowship Program may be submitted via email.
