About Me
I am a native of Fort Collins, Colorado where I grew up and attended Colorado State University for undergrad. Prior to medical school, I completed my master’s at CWRU where I developed a fondness for the Cleveland area and a passion for biomedical research and its translation. I am the first member of my family to become a doctor, and I think that this fact and my wider curiosity in and out of medicine led me to choose internal medicine because of the broad-mindedness of the specialty and the opportunity to understand patient’s stories and values.
So far during my medical training at MetroHealth, the spirit of collegiality and support is what I have most enjoyed. I did a visiting rotation as a 4th year medical student, and I noticed very early on that the program was one that would both support and give me the opportunities I needed to grow and advance as a physician. The attendings truly care about your growth and development. The cafeteria food is superb, better than any hospital I have spent time in and we receive a very generous food stipend.
When I lived in Cleveland previously, I resided near Case Western and loved walking around campus and the Little Italy area. Not only is the Italian food great but the overall food culture is as good as anywhere. Now that I live near Lake Erie on the West side, I enjoy spending time at the beach, which between this and the Metro Parks within minutes’ drive, are some of my favorite places to spend my off time. I am looking forward to returning to downtown in Playhouse Square as well as to the East side. Cleveland the city and the people were a deciding reason I chose to come back here for my residency.
