About Me

Title(s): Resident

Hi, I’m Jagan. I grew up across southern India, with roots in Kerala and Bangalore, before heading to Father Muller Medical College in Mangalore, a coastal city known for its beaches, sunsets, and incredible seafood!

I chose family medicine because of the opportunity to build long-term relationships with my patients and be a part of their lives through different stages of their health journey. My interests within family medicine include primary care, lifestyle medicine, palliative medicine, and academic medicine.

At Metro, I love being part of a busy urban county hospital that serves a diverse and underserved population. Caring for patients with a wide range of medical and social needs makes every day an opportunity to learn something new. I also really like being at a place with so many training programs, where I get to learn from and collaborate with residents and fellows across different specialties.

Outside the hospital, I enjoy weightlifting, boxing, racket sports, hiking, and nature photography. I enjoy spending time outdoors and am always up for a game of pickleball!
