About Me
I was born and raised in Maryland as a proud Nigerian American, grounded in values of service, resilience, and education. Growing up, I saw how healthcare could transform lives—especially in minority and immigrant communities facing reproductive and maternal health disparities. That sparked my passion for equity and a desire to support women through life-changing moments.
My commitment to Obstetrics and Gynecology was solidified during a global health trip to Uganda, where I helped deliver my first baby. That experience connected science, advocacy, and humanity in a powerful way. With a background in public health and health administration, I approach care with a holistic lens—focused on supporting patients in body, mind, and spirit.
Training at MetroHealth has been both rigorous and deeply rewarding. Caring for a diverse and resilient patient population has strengthened my clinical skills and broadened my cultural awareness. I’ve especially valued the emphasis on community-centered care and learning how to advocate for patients beyond the bedside.
MetroHealth’s strong commitment to health equity aligns with my own values and has made me proud to train in a system that prioritizes compassion, advocacy, and excellence.
Outside of residency, I’ve found a strong sense of community in Cleveland through local professionals, creatives, and a run club that’s helped me stay grounded and connected. Exploring new restaurants around the city has become one of my favorite ways to unwind and spend time with others.
Cleveland has also given me the space to grow TwoPercentMed—a platform I founded to support and amplify Black women in medicine, who represent just 2% of practicing physicians in the U.S.
