About Me
I grew up in Shelby, Ohio—a small town near Mansfield. My early experiences instilled resilience and ambition, which I carried with me through my undergraduate, graduate, and medical education at the University of Cincinnati.
I worked full-time as a medical scribe throughout undergrad, gaining early exposure to clinical environments. This role helped me develop strong documentation skills and, more importantly, allowed me to observe the art of medicine up close—how trust is built, how stories unfold, and how healing often begins with listening.
By the time I entered medical school, I was able to shift my focus toward connecting with patients at the bedside. I found myself especially drawn to those with complex conditions—patients whose stories require curiosity, empathy, and attention to detail. These encounters reaffirmed my passion for internal medicine, and within the field, I hope to continue my path through a cardiology fellowship.
What I value most in my training at MetroHealth is the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population, including those who are underserved. Medicine is both an art and a science, fueled by curiosity and strengthened in the setting of an academic medical center. I believe that, at its core, medicine is about people—their unique backgrounds, experiences, and challenges—and effective care requires recognizing and respecting that individuality.
Our attendings foster growth in an environment that is both challenging and supportive, while my co-residents contribute to a culture of collaboration, belonging, and continuous learning. Additionally, I have been able to join highly effective multidisciplinary teams that provide exceptional support, diverse treatment options, and valuable opportunities for patient education.
Having grown up just an hour south of Cleveland, I’ve always appreciated the city. Since returning, Cleveland has felt like home. As a lifelong Cleveland sports fan, it’s been especially nice to be close to the teams I grew up supporting. The West Side Market has become a regular stop for me, and I’ve also enjoyed taking walks in the Metroparks with my dog, Bo.
