About Me

Title(s): Resident

I’m a pathology resident at MetroHealth. I’m originally from Egypt, where I completed medical school and pathology residency. After moving to the US, I conducted research in Malaria, BAP1 mutation and digital pathology at Brown, University of South Florida, and Ohio State University, then completed a cytopathology fellowship at UMass Chan before starting my residency here.

MetroHealth has been a great place to train. From the beginning, I felt welcomed and supported by my attendings and co-residents. Everyone here wants to help you learn and succeed. It’s a friendly and encouraging environment that makes me feel confident and motivated every day.

Cleveland has been a great city for me and my family. It’s affordable, easy to get around. We live in Westlake, which is quiet and family-friendly, with great parks and beaches. There’s always something to do, whether it’s visiting the zoo, Lake Erie, or enjoying museums and local events. People here are kind, and we’ve felt at home since day one.
