About Me

Title(s): Fellow

I’m currently completing fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at The MetroHealth System and Case Western Reserve University, where I also continue to serve as a per diem Academic Hospitalist and Assistant Professor of Medicine.

My journey in medicine has been shaped by a strong foundation in hospital care and a deep commitment to lifelong learning. I’ve had the opportunity to work in resource-limited settings, including a rural ICU, which taught me the importance of teamwork, evidence-based care, and structured training—especially when caring for critically ill patients.

Alongside my clinical work, I’m passionate about medical education and mentoring. I stay actively involved in teaching residents, developing curriculum, and contributing to research that helps improve how we care for patients. I’m especially drawn to pulmonary and critical care because it allows me to build meaningful relationships with patients while navigating complex medical challenges.

It’s a privilege to care for people during some of their most vulnerable moments, and I’m committed to providing thoughtful, collaborative, and compassionate care every step of the way.

Fellowship at MetroHealth provides a wide range of clinical and procedural opportunities in a supportive environment. The diverse patient population and high clinical volume expose fellows to both common and complex pulmonary and critical care conditions, ensuring well-rounded training.

Procedural experience is a major strength, with fellows gaining hands-on practice in central lines, chest tubes, and bronchoscopies, as well as advanced techniques such as navigational and robotic bronchoscopy. Access to cutting-edge technology and high procedural volume makes the learning experience especially rewarding.

Equally valuable is the mentorship. Faculty are approachable experts who combine supervision with autonomy, creating an environment where fellows can thrive both clinically and professionally.

MetroHealth offers the ideal combination of strong clinical training, advanced procedures, and outstanding mentorship—preparing fellows for successful careers in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine.
Cleveland has a vibrant and diverse food scene, which my wife and I love exploring. We especially enjoy sushi and Asian cuisine—AsiaTown is one of our favorite neighborhoods, and Ginko is our go-to spot for a great meal. We also enjoy finding new restaurants and hidden gems across the city.

Beyond food, the Cleveland Metroparks are a favorite destination for hiking and outdoor activities, with miles of trails and green spaces nearby. The location also makes it easy to enjoy weekend trips—whether it’s Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Lake Erie, or quick direct flights from the airport to cities across the country.

Cleveland itself has plenty to offer as well, from sports and theater at Playhouse Square to music at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. It’s a city that combines big-city amenities with a welcoming community—making it a great place to live, train, and explore.
