Application Process
Prerequisites and Application Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited PA or APRN program (Acute Care only for APRNs)
- National certification through NCCPA, ANCC, or AACN by matriculation date
- Ohio State Licensure (PA via State Medical Board; APRN/RN via Ohio Board of Nursing)
- Eligible for DEA registration and BLS certified by matriculation date
- Application should include:
- CV or Resume
- Cover letter or letter of intent
- Two letters of recommendation
- Official transcript from master’s PA/AGACNP program (if not yet graduated, your most up-to-date transcript will be accepted)
- NCCPA/ANCC/AACN exam scores (if available at time of application)
Application Cycle: April 1st – May 31st, 2026. Interviews in June. Program Begins Fall 2026

A three-part interview will be conducted to determine the final candidate:
- 1st interview, via phone with the Fellowship Program team, early June.
- 2nd interview with the Fellowship Program Directors and Trauma Medical Staff, mid-June.
- 3rd interview with the Fellowship Medical Director and Division Director of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, Burns and Emergency General Surgery will occur in late June/early July.
Candidates from the 3rd interview will be notified of a final decision by mid to late July.
The program will begin in the fall, with flexibility on the exact start date, contingent on obtaining state licensure.
