Ultrasound Grand Rounds

The cornerstone of our continuing ultrasound education is our bimonthly ultrasound lecture series. Lectures are held Thursdays at noon. In this forum we discuss various topics related to bedside ultrasound aimed at operators of all skill levels.

Speakers are enthusiastic about the use of bedside ultrasound and represent the various different medical specialties that utilize point-of-care ultrasound.

Multidisciplinary Scanning

Central to the performance of bedside ultrasound is practice with hands on scanning. In an attempt to increase scanning opportunity and exposure to pathology, we conduct multidisciplinary scanning rounds in the ED and various ICUs. This providers learners and opportunity to correlate in vivo sonographic findings with known pathology and pathophysiology.
