Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Emergency Ultrasound at the MetroHealth System. MetroHealth is an academic medical center that has served the city of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County for over 175 years. We offer comprehensive point-of-care ultrasound education for medical students, residents, fellows and physician faculty.
Our mission is to promote the use of bedside ultrasound through program development, education and research. Throughout our educational programs we seeks to prepare future leaders in emergency ultrasound through the development of academic, clinical and administrative skills in emergency ultrasound.
We have state-of-the-art machines both at our main campus as well as at our satellite emergency departments with the ability to perform general 2D ultrasound, advanced ECHO, endocavitary ultrasound and TEE. Our simulation center has a variety of phantom trainers as well as a computerized ultrasound simulator capable of supporting our clinical capabilities.
We welcome you to learn about our ultrasound programs and train with us.
