Curriculum

Our residency features a fully integrated curriculum, with opportunities to participate in continuity clinics, pediatric dermatology, dermatologic surgery and dermatopathology on a weekly basis. Each resident also completes 5 months of consult service, which includes time spent in an inpatient and outpatient setting.

Residents have the privilege of serving patients in the only burn unit in Cleveland, Ohio. Our curriculum is unique in that most resident clinics are continuity clinics, which allows residents to follow their own patients and to experience what it is like to have your own practice during residency.

All patients are also evaluated by the attending physician, supporting the resident with differential diagnoses and treatment options. As the resident progresses through the program the amount of assistance is tailored based on clinical experience.
