Brief Description – Dr. Zhao's special interests in clinical informatics include utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve the efficiency and accuracy of pathology diagnosis and genetic variant interpretation, developing clinical-grade bioinformatics and laboratory information management system, and using the knowledge of clinical informatics to bridge the gap between laboratory medicine and clinical decision making.
What drew her to the fellowship program was MetroHealth's vast expertise in the applied clinical informatics. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music and spending time with family.
Post-Fellowship Position – Clinical and Molecular Genetic Pathologist at the University of Cincinnati Physicians, Inc. and Assistant Professor Clinical at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine.
